We are in full swing now in first grade and it has been a GREAT start to the year! We have jumped right into the common core standards and are already learning LOTS of new things. Stop by later this week for some photos and student work from our hard working kiddos!

As summer vacation was coming to an end, Ashley and I decided it was time to complete a project we had pinned on pinterest months before....our final product was 2 birthday chairs, fit for every first grader as they turn one year older. It was also a good reason to get together, plan a few things for the beginning of the year, and just have some good old fashioned girl talk.
